Utility SHEA (Drains & Sewers)- East Kilbride


Course Description

The Utility Safety Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) portfolio of schemes has been developed in collaboration with industry to provide a uniform approach to health, safety, and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines.

The Utility SHEA (Drains & Sewers) scheme is affiliated with the CSCS to allow Drain & Sewer industry workers access to construction sites for purposes of utilities work without the need to complete a separate CSCS card.

Course Aims

The course is designed to provide evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. This is an Energy & Utility Skills passport scheme, which is recognised by the UK utility and construction sectors.

Who Should Attend?

The Utility SHEA (Drains and Sewers) scheme has been developed in collaboration with The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC). It is designed for individuals who work with drains and sewers and require access to operational sites within the drainage and sewerage industry, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors and management.

A Utility SHEA (Drains & Sewers) passport lasts for three years from the date of training.
