    In order to keep updated with the knowledge learnt during the IOSH Managing Safely training, it’s recommended to take the 1-day Refresher course every 3 years. This course updates and refreshes their knowledge in the key areas of Managing Safely, updates delegates on the latest legislation and renews their IOSH Managing Safely certificate for a further 3 years. To qualify for this training, delegates must hold a valid IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

  • Course Overview This one-day seats course is suitable for staff with management or supervisory responsibilities. SEATS Course Overview This one day classroom based course will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. This course meets the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain is required to prove to major contractors. It also covers the environmental aspects of the CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test. SEATS Aims and Objectives The delegate will gain knowledge and understanding in:
    • what is meant by the term ‘environment’
    • how to deal with archaeology and heritage on a construction project
    • effective waste management
    • pollution controls, and why the environment should be protected
    • the use of environmental management systems
    • why it is important to be a good neighbour and responsible contractor

  • EUSR National Water Hygiene Blue Card Training Course

    Course Overview

    Our National Water Hygiene (‘Blue Card’) scheme plays a vital part in ensuring the protection of public health and promoting good water hygiene practices. The scheme has been developed in collaboration with all UK water companies. All UK water companies require individuals entering clean water sites or working on the clean water network – known as ‘Restricted Operations’, to hold a National Water Hygiene EUSR registration. ‘Restricted Operations’ includes working on service reservoirs, water pumping stations, water treatment works, wells, springs, boreholes as well as working on the network of water mains and service pipes. It’s not just water company employees. If you are working on a ‘Restricted Operation’ on behalf of a water company subcontractor or other organisation, such as Self-Lay Organisation (SLOs) – then you need a National Water Hygiene EUSR registration.

    Course Structure

    The scheme is developed in collaboration with all UK water companies and key stakeholders from across the water industry, so you can be confident that the content covers all the required knowledge and awareness of good water hygiene practices:
    • Module 1: The importance of water
    • Module 2: Water as a carrier of disease
    • Module 3: Potential contamination and its consequences
    • Module 4: Preventing contamination

    Course Completion

    Once you have successfully completed your National Water Hygiene training and assessment, you will understand the vital part you play in maintaining clean and safe drinking water and protecting public health. All new and renewal National Water Hygiene EUSR registrations are issued with a virtual card instead of the previous plastic card (also known as the ‘Blue Card’). Virtual cards mean you can never forget or lose your card and are easily accessible on any smartphone, tablet or iPad.

    Overview This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:

    This one-day course is for those who have previously completed the Mental Health First Aid course.  The course refreshes the knowledge gained on the two-day course, updates learners on any changes in legislation and best practise and is recommended to complete 3 years after the initial training.
    • Spotting the early signs and symptoms of mental ill health
    • Starting a supportive conversation with a colleague who may be experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress
